It's just that the playing field you are proposing is a lot easier than more difficult, which makes things seem less problematic. But it's not.

Every time something is brought up about Sarah Palin, somebody comes up and turns the subject to Obama. Why is this?
Is it because they're that similar? That neither one of them really deserves to be in their position? At least for Obama I can say that he's in his position because people not named John McCain voted him into it.

She goes to a Pentecostal church. That doesn't sound very non-denominational to me. I've been to Pentecostal services, even had people holding onto my shoulders speaking in tongues and all that jazz. And "Bible-believing Christian?" As opposed to a non-Bible-believing Christian? Verbiage like that makes me question where everything else I'm reading is coming from.
Well, we have an ethical probe and a budget for Wasilla that was left >$20M in the rojo as Palin left City Hall. Is this the meaning of fiscal conservatism these days? Why did she leave Wasilla millions of dollars in the hole?

And as a woman, I hope she holds her own. I'd honestly hate to see any woman fail in such circumstances, given the newness of a woman for such a position. But if she is going to hit the ball out of the park, she first has to step up to the plate.
I want to hear her say it now, on national television for us all to see, as the VP candidate. Not something she said when nobody outside of Alaska cared. We know how things change. Like how she's a "reformed earmarker" now.
