Maybe Palin is waiting to go on Oprah first.
How many days did he wait to give his first Press interview? How many has he given since? This line of argument is weak and irrelevant. The Governor has been selected as Vice President and appears to be afraid to speak to the press. The press has a duty to discover and disclose so the electorate can make an informed decision. They are part of the system of checks and balances and the Governor is giving us a direct precursor to how she will act in office.

i don't think anyone wants to stay on oil forever, but your retarded if you think we can just switch in a day. i believe 10 years is the accepted amount of time it will take to "see any economic impact". i don't believe we will be able to get off of oil for a long time. we need to tap into everything wind, solar, water, nuclear, and OUR OWN OIL, while we put inplace away to reduce the need of oil for energy and transpartation.

Our own oil will just go on the global market like anyone else's. The oil we already produce does that. OPEC is already considering cutting down on production because they think too much is on the market.

It's reaping what we sow. It was obvious three decades ago that burning liquified dinosaur guts wasn't for long, and we had a chance to become self-sufficient then and explore new energy sources. But once the embargo ended, it was back to square one.
