Her pork is a lot less than the reg.

She actually has shaken the reg. in AK and that is the main reason she is so popular.
Seems like the popular Governor should have no problem expressing to the citizens how she got the 67% approval rating.

$27 million in earmarks for her town with a four-digit population count. In Ted Stevens' home state, I guess it is easy to be a little less than the "reg" up there.

You do realize you are questioning someone's history with the press for someone who has a journalism degree.

She understands clearly the motive behind most of the mainstream press.

She hasn't had to up until a few days ago.....Ask the question why she is loved it will be answered.....from Ak's.

From the same type of links being posted:

"This is the second year in a row Palin vetoed projects dear to legislators. She said lawmakers stuffed the $2.7 billion state capital budget too full. "There were things like dealing with killer shrubs and Zamboni blades that are not the state's highest priority at the time," Palin said on Friday.
She cut $43,000 from the budget for landscaping at Klatt Elementary in South Anchorage. A legislative document justified the money, saying "the risk of a child impaling themselves is substantial." Palin also vetoed a Homer Zamboni blade sharpener."

She has a journalism degree so she should clearly be in her element with journalists. Do you think she's afraid or uncomfortable with folks who have made a career of journalism? Could this have something to do with her refusal to talk to journalists?

This makes the book-banning all the more insidious. That's not what you're taught in J-school.

She knows how journalism plays it's partisan role.

And that goes for both sides from left to right.......the stories are made out of what the "writer" makes of it....

As whole it allows people to make their own decision. She understand IMO the looking at her record and results is a better decision maker for people.....maybe I'm making more of it than needs be.

All of them are on the issues website I posted....try looking through it.
Sarah Palin on the Issues

Why not look at the issues with a little less partisanship.
Glad you mentioned this as we are getting off topic aren't we.

The Topic of this thread is not to discuss the issues. It is to question why the Governor refuses to grant interviews to the Press.

You can certainly start a thread discussing the Governors issues, I'm certain many would enjoy discussing them with you.

There are editors in the mix too, so it's not just a one-man job.
