I expect her to address the people. I'm glad for you that reading a few websites with some sampled quotes is good enough for you.

If Obama can go on the O'Reilly Factor I think Palin can at least give a damn interview.

Considering she majored in journalism this is particularly disturbing. She knows very well of the public's right to know.

She should have to answer questions so that people can hear her responses? You sexist! Why should she have to do what every other candidate is doing? What about her comfort? Oh, you men! You are all alike!!!!

The same media trying to destroy her family? yes we know she has a degree in journalism which makes it way more apparent to her than anyone without one. When organizations systematically attack your family it says a lot about what the media is willing to do. If they attacked only her it would be acceptable but blatantly throwing garbage out about someone family because you disagree with their views is about as low as it gets.

I know, huh? Never mind the little details like issues. All I really want is for hear George Stephanopoulos to tell her to get back in the kitchen. Yeah, that's it.

You do realize that she can state that questions regarding her children and husband are off limits before she does an interview, right? Certainly a pit bull with lipstick can specify boundaries. If those boundaries aren't respected during an interview, she has the right to leave.

This didn't stop Obama from appearing on FAUX News, you know, which referred to Michelle Obama as a "baby momma."

Search high, low and everywhere in between. It's not an excuse. Also, you seem to think the media is some monolithic entity with a united agenda. There is none, making money excluded.

Awwwwwwwwww! (sniff)

You're right.

From now on, any politician who is attacked or satirized in any way may stop performing his or her duty as a public figure and just duck out until he or she...I don't know, feels better.

Satirization, sometimes scathing satirization, is as old as this nation and older. It has been ugly, SERIOUSLY ugly, to public figures and their families from Day One. It's part of the right of speech; it may not be a part you like, but it's a part. The uglier side to this has always been people making accusations about/against public figures; these are then either confirmed or refuted (and if they are refuted and found to never had any basis/any reason for belief in them, of course that's no longer a right but character defamation, the risk one takes when making accusations).

This woman already can't handle it and she's only been in the nationwide public eye for 6 or 7 days?

Oh yeah. Definitely the emotionally stable, mature type I want running my country.

Or we COULD just take away our rites to speech and all become pinko Commie haters. Why do you hate America, BigJohn? Why do you hate our freedom?

So your sticking to the battered wife syndrome? Why would you give any credit to a "force" who just trashed your family repeatedly over and over and continue to do so. She has a lawyer and a pending investigation....

She is a governor of a state.....how hard is it for anyone to search for her record? here I'll help Google

I thought pitbulls could maul reporters. I guess she's not really a pitbull. Should we chalk that up as another lie/half-truth/monumental stretch from her RNC speech? The one that really didn't tell us anything about her we didn't already know? (Which wasn't much to start with.)

why would you vote for anyone who will not appear before the press and
answer questions about the environment, immigration, foreign policy and relations, education, the economy, crime, drugs, taxation, and yes, her religious philosophy. Etc.... It's called the "issues". Every one has had to answer these tough questions, why not her?
in fact, it is a tradition.

What has this process become. First, mccain elects someone from a state with less population than any medium sized city in america, a mayor from a town of 8,000 and the american people are to blindly vote this person on a ticket to be the leader of the u.s. If mccain who is the nation's oldest presidential candidate would die in office or become incapacitated?

mccain is irresponsible. Republicans are irresponsible. And any one else that
would vote this ticket. You either do not care about your country or you
have lost your mind. I think mccain already has.
this election has become an embarrassment and a circus.

And if palin was not clearly vetted by the mccain camp, there should be
some kind of penalty against mccain. I could care less about her family.
But i care about mine, and the dangerous road this country is on.
No meet the press/meet the nation for a vp - not in my america, not my vote.
I totally agree!
