If I had her money, I too would be doing all those things.
Unfortunately I have to work...
But for rich (I mean REALLY rich) people, I think what she is doing is pretty common.
Really, they all adopt underprivileged children of a different race? Those really rich people are pretty neat, those Kennedys and Clintons are something else. I'm glad that if you were rich you would pull one of these kids from certain doom.

Right?! Sheesh, if all of the rich people did the work Cindy does, poverty and disease would be eradicated. VERY few do.
Besides, one doesn't have to be rich. Before I got sick when I was working, I volunteered for a hospice organization, visiting dying patients. Now, I can just get out once a month to help make homemade soup and bread to deliver to the elderly shut-ins. It's not much but at least it's something.
What do you think of the fact that at the age of 25 she had an affair with the 43 year old McCain who had three school age children and a wife crippled in a car accident?
This is a good point.
Cindy does good deeds now, but as another poster said, many very wealthy people do. They surely don't have to, so they should be commended for it. From what I've learned of Cindy, she seems like a nice person. Who really knows? All politicians and their family seems nice...they have to. They're campaigning. Many people do things at 25 that they regret later. At the very least, at least she wasn't a "fling" and John asked her to get married. I would think that the 3 children that John had with his first wife, may have some issues with their dad dumping their mother. Especially in light of the fact that she was rendered handicap from an auto accident. Hopefully, everyone gets along now. Hey, I'm a Democrat and can be objective

Well, those 3 children from the first wife were onstage tonight and showed great affection for Cindy.
What gets me about you people is that Carol McCain, the first wife, is apparently not bitter. I've read articles about her and she supports John McCain and his campaigns. So, if SHE isn't upset about it all, why in the heck are YOU making it an issue?

Because I think it's of bad character to dump a wife who waited for 5+ years for her husband to return from a POW camp. Carol McCain waited for him and he got home and dissolved their marriage. Just because his family has forgiven him, does not make what he did right. Children forgive their parents for much worse things, such as abuse, for instance. The fact of the matter is that he left his handicapped wife upon his return. You can't put a rosy glow on that. Good for Carol and the children for forgiving him. They have shown better character than he has in this matter. I'm not implying that John McCain is an evil man. He's done much good for his country and people. You need to look at this objectively. Would you want your sister, mother or friend to suffer through a tragic car accident, become handicapped and then have her husband leave her?
