We know she is an obama fan, but why not celebrate the OTHER historic ticket. Only the second time in history a woman has a chance at VP - put your partisan bias aside and be happy for all women.

Just another example that dem/lib rhetoric DOESN'T match their actions. All the claims of celebrating women and their contributions really falls by the wayside when we are talking about a conservative women - in that case she is something to fear and destroy. If she were a liberal woman, she'd be throwing her a party.
To be fair to Oprah, she has said long before primaries that since she's fully on Obama's camp, she will no longer invite other candidates on her show. She didn't invite Hillary, or any other candidates for that matter. So sorry to burst your bubble, it's not about Palin.

If the republicans were smarter they would have went after Barack for his "community organizing" without insulting all the others out there.
The communities that need organizing would never go republican anyhow. When was the last time a community of addle brained addicts, rapist, convicts and vagrants voted republican. Those are the communities that should be turned in to parking lots.

Why does that article say that Palin's speech was "historic"? What about it was historic? Ferraro already took that prize. And Hillary was close to becoming the first Democratic presidential nominee. Wouldn't that be more historic?

Either way, it's Oprah's show and she can do what she wants, and be criticized for it or not. She's not a "journalist", so any talk of equal time is bunk. She'll still rake in gazillions of dollars this year, next, the next... (far more than Matt Drudge)

It's a moot point, anyway. It doesn't look like Palin is going to be doing any interviews before the election.

All the Feminist rhetoric goes out the door when the far left of the Feminist movement is actually faced w/ someone who has "done it all." You are not a REAL Feminist unless you have followed a prescribed path to success. The radical Feminists (often referred to as FemiNazis) do NOT represent all women, especially all successful women. However, their voices are always the LOUDEST and the MOST SHRILL.

Any woman who does not espouse the Feminist Manifesto as outlined by that far left group has to be CRUSHED b/c she did not follow the RULES. You have to attend an Ivy League School . . . you can only have ONE CHILD . . . you have to come up "The Hard Way" . . . you cannot be ATTRACTIVE . . . Preferably, you are an ATTORNEY . . . you have to have worked for the DEMOCRAT PARTY or for some non-profit feel good agency or Government Entitlement Program - especially one that works with INNER CITY KIDS or SINGLE MOMMAS w/ MULTIPLE BABY DADDIES . . . etc. etc. etc. <YAWN> So predictable.

You can't have a pregnant 17 y/o daughter who is going to keep her baby, as that screams out ANTI-ABORTION . . . you can't have more than one child b/c that says you were not REALLY A CAREER MINDED WOMAN . . . (wh/ is so weird b/c the left wingers are the ones who have pushed DAY CARE for WORKING MOMMIES and WORKPLACE BENNIES for WORKING MOMMIES - so that is a clear contradiction) Yet, the criticism Palin is getting is a double edged sword . . . "You must be a bad mommy cause your daughter got pregnant" (read: why didn't she get an abortion?) and "you go to an office instead of being a SAHM." Geez. You can't win w/ this group!!!!!

Yet . . . there stands Nancy Pelosi . . . w/ house full o' kids and a hubby w/ Big Bucks . . . and I don't recall ever having heard a word about her education, babysitting arrangements while raising kids and working, not "paying her dues," etc. ????

All seems really contradictory to me.

I'm sure all the community organizers that have been working to clean up the flooded out cities in Iowa appreciate your comparison.

Well as John McCain said yesterday, he works for them, so it is not nice to diss your bosses.
