It used to be that the Republican party was about red meat issues, and the Democrats were about "feelings" and "symbols."

It used to be that the Republicans were straight-talkers that didn't mince words and told us what we needed to hear, and the Democrats were thin-skinned milquetoasts who would interpret innocent comments as racism or sexism. They were the "PC police" as it were.

Oh, how the tables have turned.

With the McCain campaign, the pansification of the Republican party is reaching a fever pitch. Republicans, who used to talk about facts and integrity, are now running their campaign as a touching human interest story. Instead of calling a spade a spade, they are now pulling the gender card and whining about cultural insensitivity. Is this who we want to face world leaders? Is this who we want to right our economy?

We need someone with a tough skin and a rational outlook on the world to lead us. No way, no how, no McCain.

The former Republican Party was hijacked by the Neocon Religious Right. Since then, they have been selling their brand of snake oil religious focused politics based on accelerating a final Armageddon war in the Middle East. They really believe in this. It is insanity.

Alaska better build more condos, because the nuts will be rolling uphill and moving in.
She opened the door to Alaska for more than just oil.

What is yet to be seen is if the American people can be tricked into another 4 years of this.

Sadly its true, the Republican party has become the Democrat party of old and the Democrats of today are more like the Socialists of tomorrow... not surprising in a society where the citizens advocate special taxes for certain people to give to them or even different tiers of tax because it makes them feel better about themselves...

The GOP choses to use the religious nuts for votes only & then conveniently ignore them once in office. Even Rove referred to the religious Right as fanatics [also McCain]. But these self-righteous hypocrites are the base of the Republican party and why John McCain will lose. We can only wish the Libertarian wing gains control of the GOP.
