Million dollar question; although if we look at fact, he could barely get 1/2 his own party and, as of today, gets less that 1/2 the US. Many simply want the nanny state; bigger gov't, more entitlements and higher taxes.
Obama should have spoken against Carter's trip.
Jimmy Carter is WAY out of line taking it upon himself to make that trip!
He is still trying to make up for leaving office in disgrace.
Obama reminds me of Carter. If you look back in history, even the time we were living in was similar when Carter got elected.
There is much to be learned from history... and from electing a nice guy with a nice smile.... who's not the right guy for the job.
The big difference is that our country (our economy) will not recover from an Obama presidency and all of his new socialized programs.
Once that box is opened... there's no looking back.
