Palin – the Devil in disguise - Pravda.Ru

My husband is originally from Moscow; though he left in the 80's after university and has never gone back we still enjoy reading Pravda for the entertainment (I read the English version).

Could an American journalist get away with writing the above (if he/she even wanted to)?!

I can't answer your question, but I enjoyed the article. It summarized my feelings quite nicely. Well done!

Whoa.

Here is exactly why I am jumping out of my skin practically to point out the potential physical danger Palin puts us in, and the magnitude to which she has already undone some very carefully handled diplomacy. From Pravda:

One question for this self-opinionated upstart: Do you know what a nuclear holocaust is?

That is absolutely chilling. That's from Pravda. This stupid, stupid woman is going to cause a nuclear war, dammit, if she's not muzzled and muzzled quickly.

I haven't even finished the article yet.

Whoa again - and this:

Threatening Russia with a war is perhaps the most irresponsible thing anyone could do at this moment in time. Have you any idea what a nuclear holocaust is? Have you any notion of the power of Russia’s armed forces? Did you know that Russia has enough missiles to destroy any target anywhere on Earth in seconds?

that's right. So, she better shut the hell up.

It's just further proof of the damage done to our credibility as a nation. To replace W with McCain-Palin would be pouring salt into the wound.

Hopefully it won't come to that, because, like the author in the OP's link, I also fear their administration would make good on Palin's threats to challenge Russia.

If that's not enough to secure Obama's victory, I don't what voters could possibly want.

Are you kidding? How did Palin "threaten" to "challenge" Russia?

The whole "If Georgia was a member of NATO, would we go to war to defend them" question again? I GUARANTEE you people Obama would give the same answer - assuming he knew what he was talking about.

But don't worry folks, no one here honestly expects you to do anything more than take what you read on the internet at face value. In fact, we expect you will do just that.

Sure Obama would say it too.

But.

If a Russian politican or official said that we'd take it the same way. Are you going to try, for a second, to say we wouldn't? They said if Poland put the missile defense there would be serious consequences. We took that pretty seriously (we took it to mean war) even though it had the same if then caveats.

The NATO defense is the NATO defense but it does not alter the whole nuclear scenario.

Can you imagine that being published in the USA??!!

World respect is another *huge* issue. I suspect some foreign journalists are holding back temporarily from castigating her doubtful abilities to hold the 2nd highest office in the land (but as we know the right doesn't give a hoot what foreigners think). Still, this should give pause for thought about a McCain/Palin administration.. Has anyone run into the one where Pat Buchanan (during the primaries) talks about a bellicose John McCain?? Wow, what a duo for the ages! It's pretty clear Bush will go down in history as one of our worst presidents. If Mc/Palin get elected where will they be on that list? (Right now it appears their futures are joined at the hip)

Well, I guess she feels she can talk tough about Russia since she lives so close and can see Russia from her house. She is clueless as to what the hell she is even talking about on foreign policy. If the Russians got a hold of that interview, they would be laughing their butts off saying "who is this stupid American?"

That article is a roit.... and a big lie. Say what you want about Fox News, but that article is fringe journalism at it's most pathetic. And to think that you call Palin supporters gullible.
