He's a Muslim.

There are 5 threads on the first page of city-data that Barack Hussein Obama II is a Muslim. Obviously this is the most recent Republican meme to overshadow the crushing embarrassment of Palin's interviews and McCain's inability to handle the ladies on The View last week.

Yeah, we get it. You're not going to vote for Obama because you think he's a Muslim. Regardless of what he, McCain or anyone else says, you know it because you read it on the internet.

We get it. You are xenophobic not racist.

We get it.

Now, can we move along to some actual issues?

Angry Have you heard?

Someone told me that Obama has sired black children.

But then, back in 2000, it was revealed that McCain fathered a black child out of wedlock.

For those with short memories, Karl Rove smeared Mccain in the South Carolina primary, leading to the end of his 2000 campaign.

Anonymous opponents used "push polling" to suggest that McCain's Bangladeshi born daughter was his own, illegitimate black child. In push polling, a voter gets a call, ostensibly from a polling company, asking which candidate the voter supports. In this case, if the "pollster" determined that the person was a McCain supporter, he made statements designed to create doubt about the senator.
Thus, the "pollsters" asked McCain supporters if they would be more or less likely to vote for McCain if they knew he had fathered an illegitimate child who was black. In the conservative, race-conscious South, that's not a minor charge. We had no idea who made the phone calls, who paid for them, or how many calls were made. Effective and anonymous: the perfect smear campaign.

Uh Oh

That will surely bring him down. Not 1 but 2 Black children?!

It's all over for Obama just like it was for McCain in 2000.

Thank you!! But according to Mccain's campaign, it's not about the issues and I haven't seen anything about issues from Obama in a while now.

We are going to have to wait for the debates AND read it online because unfortunately for us, this race has come down to playground name calling and innuendo. We are f****d!

You're the second person that I've read saying that. I think that you are confusing not talking about issues (by the Obama campaign) with the media's coverage of issues. Obama and Biden are traveling the country daily speaking with groups (small and large) about issues affecting them and their communities. The Obama website posts them daily.

Haven't seen the same on the McCain site.
