Liberarl priviledge is when race doesn't matter except when it does.
Liberal priviledge is the ability to tout oneself as the party for women, and yet get a free pass when throwing them under the bus for political expediency (see Hillary, Ferraro, Obamas grandmother)
Liberal priviledge is the ability to claim political correctness while simultaneously calling opponants 'white trash' 'red necks' and 'hillbillies'.
Liberal priviledge is when inexperience means 'change' and flip flopping is merely 'thinking hard on the issues'.
Ignore this nonsense. It's being distributed to operatives of CodePink a left wing Socialist group supporting Obama. One of their directives last week told it's operatives to use RACE and RACIST on message boards to "blunt, cut off, or divert any criticism of...Comrade Barack Obama".
If you've been paying attention a lot of posts on City-Data have been spun into race baiting. Also several new threads, like this one are RACE BAITING trying to evoke emotional racial comments from both sides. CodePink at work!
People need to stop seeing themselves as victims. It's very disabling.
People like Tomato like to play the victim role because they think it will excuse them from having to take responsibility for their problems.
We all have problems, but alot of people like to pretend that all of their problems are somehow the fault of white people.
Tomato, I got news for you. If you work hard in life, surround yourself with quality people, and educate yourself, then you will succeed regardless of what color you are. Bitching about white people won't get you anywhere.
Good post OP, I agree with all of it. This is an important topic nowadays as whites are on their way to becoming minorities. And the ease of attaining the American Dream is gone. So, whites in desperation lose all decency and vote for an inferior party and candidate just to avoid voting for a non-white (50% non-white).
Democrats being better educated, informed and evolved have little problem with all this.
But it's not too late to jump to the correct side. Vote for Obama and graduate to a higher level of awareness. Now that you mention it, I think White Privilege is the only chance McCain has left (in other words, to win by hating).

Dear White Male(s),
I realize many of you may have had a sheltered existence, far removed from "persons of color," but if you stepped out of whatever box you lived in, you would see that it may be true that European whites are becoming an ETHNIC minority. As becoming a RACIAL minority, there ARE such things as "Hispanic whites." Though they may have funny Latin sounding last names that end in vowels, but being "Hispanic" decent does not make one a minority anymore than being Russian. Just because the guy that cuts your lawn is a Hispanic and looks like he's 1 step away from an Aztec king, does not mean that all "Hispanics" or "Latinos" look that way.
Indeed, many of them, like Miami Cubans, who are majority WHITE at this point, vote Republican.
The media reports you see don't bother to go into such nuance, so you're excused in your ignorance of the diversity amongst Latinos and Hispanics. This time.
