I think that many people love Sarah Palin because she is new and exciting, almost like a new girl friend. As with relationships, people's fascination with the new exciting person ends suddenly and then people start to see their warts. Will this fascination end before November or people start to see the warts next year after it is to late?

Eh...I don't know...it seems to be wrapping up right now.

Her 15 minutes of fame were almost literal.

I mean obviously the Pubs are still backing her--they already know they're going to be voting Republican, so there you have it--but you really don't see the wide-eyed, gasping, "Oh, she's SUCH an incredible WOman!" lathering you did just a couple of weeks ago.

Poor Sarah.

The fascination with her was very short lived. The big bad wolf is coming for her

As I said the other night on here; "no 'bandwagon' moves so fast that everyone can't jump one". The funny thing about bandwagons though is that no matter how fast they're moving, when the wheels start to come off and the "groupies" start to bail out, it's not a PRETTY sight.

I met a lady the other night, mid 40s, military veteran, son in the military, she told me she is, 100% for McCain/Palin!!! When I asked her why her only responses were;

Michelle Obama is an angry black woman.

John McCain was POW

John McCain "told Bush to fire Rumsfeld"

Sarah Palin is very pretty and has lots of kids

So there you have your basic "low information" voter. Four reasons to support McCain:

The first is totally perception and caused by listening to O'Reilly and Limbaugh. Probably both of them know something about "angry women". O'Reilly sexually harrassed one to the point of "angry", Limbaugh can't seem to keep a wife, I guess they get "angry" at the drug use.

The second it totally irrelevant to the discussion of qualifiying him to be President. Admiral James Stockdale was (IIRC) in the Hanoi Hilton at the same time as McCain, yet during the '92 debate when he asked for a question to be repeated (pretty deaf because the North Vietnamese guards beat him so badly the ruptured his eardrums) the Republicans (I'm sure some Ds did too) in the audience laughed at him and the GHWB campairgn constantly played up his disqualification to be VP.

The third is a COMPLETE LIE, he never told Bush that. Every time the (SCL) press asked McCain about the SecDef he said; "it's the President's decision to make". Yet no one in the press ever calls him on this lie. Of course among McCain's lies this is kind of a small one.

No comment required by the OP on this point.

Again.. FEAR.

The dems are paying more attention to our VP than our Presidential nominee.

Why.. fear?

They are anti-God.. she believes in God. They are anti-family. She has a big successful family. They are pro abortion. She decided not to abort a special needs baby.

Admit it dem, this REAL AMERICAN woman scares you to death.

Newsflash, most moms in America are like her. Most moms believe in God, Family, Morals. That's why you'll lose again.

The only people who truly believe what Dems hold dear to them are the left wing tree huggin' cappucino drinkin' nuts in California and our pot smoking idealistic college kids.

Other than that, you are out of touch with REAL America.

Palin is REAL America.

The polls are only 50/50 b/c every minority is voting Obama just so another old white guy doesn't get elected and the youth have pulled out their dusy old alarm clocks to come out and vote because the kooks in Hollywood told them to.

Republicans want her to be "protected from the press" - at least till the elections.

However, in real life, should she be president, events like the current economic crisis and people like Putin will be very polite, understanding and easy for her to deal with.

Another reason for the 50/50 split.. everyone hates Bush.

Other than that, no one wants your income redistribution, socialism, anti-morals, anti-family, anti-God, theology in our White house.

"Again" is right.

Echoes of "Why do you hate America? Why do you hate our freedom?" being pulled out EVERY time there was no better answer (or no answer at all).

I don't think these new apples have fallen too far from the Bush.
