This is an interesting point an may have been made previously, but I found this on a blog that's not-so-left. Thought it'd only be fair to balance this out a bit. All's fair in love and war, right?

Obama-Biden: First Time in 68 Years a Ticket With No Military Experience

Source: Townhall.com

So, the obvious retort to that would be that Biden was a baby at the end of WWII, a young kid during Korea, and a married man with kids during Vietnam. But still!

This is not a problem for me. There is nothing in our constitution that states a president must have been a military figure first.

That's absolutely irrelevant. Military service isn't a pre-requisite to be president or vice president.

We don't need a military man in the Oval Office!

I'm not so defensive, more dismissive. It's a nice piece of trivia, but military experience does not make a qualified candidate.

Now that the left has weighed in with nothing it might be a positive for someone who at least has a clue why, where and how the military is supposed to be used. Just my .02, would you rather a diver or some slug who couldn't swim a stroke in charge of a diving school? The Army requires a marksman to become a sniper, the Navy requires a pilot to command a carrier and the Airforce a B52 pilot to command a B 52 wing. It isn't that hard to understand that a president SHOULD have an idea of some military experience and protocol.

Really? Then you must think Abraham Lincoln was a horrible president.
