Any politically savvy folks care to comment on this, I'm pretty interested in how this election will breakdown.

Obama will take New England and the West Coast, Michigan, Illinois, and possibly add Nevada and New Mexico to that.

McCain will take Texas, Florida, and with a few exceptions the remainder of the Midwest, and the South.

That's where I think we're at, anyone see it this way as well?

Always risky to make such a prediction, but I would guess that Obama will win with or without Ohio.

I think McCain will win Ohio, and lose the election.

It'll come down to VA and CO going blue.

Of course, there's still a lot of time and the VP debate is next week. After seeing the Couric interview with Palin, that debate could be a game changer that sends things in Obama's favor. She does not look confident.

I'm no longer willing to expect NC to go to McCain either. The metro areas are having a huge influence this year. Two Obama walkers have already been to my door this week looking for support. We're 45 minutes from Charlotte.

I'm in SC and have been asked a lot to go canvass in NC. Hopefully, I'll be able to go next weekend.

I tend to agree. It'll have two Democratic Senators and vote Obama this year. Northern VA is really blue now.

Yup--I've been up here registering voters for the last few weeks, and I'm staying here until the election, making sure that I encourage those people who registered to actually show up and vote.

VA voter registration closes October 6. We've registered a record number of people this year. No matter who wins, that's what I think is exciting about this election.
