Obama sued corporations to force them to make subprime loans, which is a huge part of the current financial meltdown:

This group that he is associated with and taught classes at, Acorn, blanketed Jacksonville and Jacksonville Beach here today in Florida, and they have been attached to voter fraud:

Gateway Pundit: Surprise!... ACORN Busted- Faking Voter Registrations Again (http://gatewaypundit.blogspot.com/2008/09/surprise-acorn-busted-in-michigan-voter.html - broken link)

I’ve been fighting alongside ACORN on issues you care about my entire career. Even before I was an elected official, when I ran Project Vote voter registration drive in Illinois, ACORN was smack dab in the middle of it, and we appreciate your work. — Barack Obama, Speech to ACORN, November 2007.

The bailout bill that failed today included $500 million dollars earmarked for Acorn. Interesting stuff going on in politics these days no doubt. They are all crooked.

Here is the connection with Rezko:

Just guess who'll be the first to get a pardon if Obama get elected? That is, if he is not being thrown under the bus by Rezko first. Hmmm....

Our 'community organizer' worked for ACORN, one of the groups that led the charge to have standards for mortgages reduced to the point where even the most hard-core unemployed could end up living in a mansion.

Quote:
Community organizers intimidate banks into making high-risk loans to customers with poor credit.
.......community organizers help to undermine the US economy by pushing the banking system into a sinkhole of bad loans. And Obama has spent years training and funding the organizers who do it.

This is nothing less than a smear campaign. And I would expect nothing more from crazed neo-cons.

The Civil Right Litigation Clearinghouse

Quote:
Case Name > Buycks-Roberson v. Citibank Fed. Sav. Bank

Docket / Court > 94 C 4094 ( N.D. Ill. )

State/Territory > Illinois

Case Summary > Plaintiffs filed their class action lawsuit on July 6, 1994, alleging that Citibank had engaged in redlining practices in the Chicago metropolitan area in violation of the Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA), 15 U.S.C. 1691; the Fair Housing Act, 42 U.S.C. 3601-3619; the Thirteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution; and 42 U.S.C. 1981, 1982. Plaintiffs alleged that the Defendant-bank rejected loan applications of minority applicants while approving loan applications filed by white applicants with similar financial characteristics and credit histories. Plaintiffs sought injunctive relief, actual damages, and punitive damages.

U.S. District Court Judge Ruben Castillo certified the Plaintiffs' suit as a class action on June 30, 1995. Buycks-Roberson v. Citibank Fed. Sav. Bank, 162 F.R.D. 322 (N.D. Ill. 1995). Also on June 30, Judge Castillo granted Plaintiffs' motion to compel discovery of a sample of Defendant-bank's loan application files. Buycks-Roberson v. Citibank Fed. Sav. Bank, 162 F.R.D. 338 (N.D. Ill. 1995).

The parties voluntarily dismissed the case on May 12, 1998, pursuant to a settlement agreement.

Plaintiff Description > African Americans seeking redress for alleged racial discrimination and discriminatory redlining practices.

Nothing will come of it, just like White Water. Years later, people will still refer to it though, just like White Water.

*shakes head*

Before giving us a tour of Acorn's pro-Obama but somehow "non-partisan" election activities, Foulks treats us to a brief history of Obama's ties to Acorn. While most press accounts imply that Obama just happened to be at the sort of public-interest law firm that would take Acorn's "motor voter" case, Foulkes claims that Acorn specifically sought out Obama's representation in the motor voter case, remembering Obama from the days when he worked with Talbot. And while many reports speak of Obama's post-law school role organizing "Project VOTE" in 1992, Foulkes makes it clear that this project was undertaken in direct partnership with Acorn. Foulkes then stresses Obama's yearly service as a key figure in Acorn's leadership-training seminars.

and somehow acorn was to be the recipient of taxpayer funds in the bailout bill? hmm............

Obama Finds An ACORN

Quote:
A young lawyer, a community organizer himself, sued on behalf of the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) and won. The young lawyer was Barack Obama. ACORN later invited Obama to train its staff.
Quote:
When Obama served on the board of the Woods Fund for Chicago with Weather Underground terrorist William Ayers, the Woods Fund frequently gave ACORN grants to fund its agenda and voter registration activities.

ACORN has been in the lead in opposing voter ID laws and other efforts to ensure ballot integrity. ACORN has been implicated in voter fraud and bogus registration schemes in Ohio and at least 13 other states

Wonder if they have a jump suit to fit this skinny freak at gitmo?

It is amazing that he has so many ties to organized crime and gets away with it.

No we all know why he stayed away like ET and was going to phone home is case they needed him.

He did not want to be a part of it because thought it would raise suspicions.

You know, since the dems here and out there have protected this man like they have and know full well what he has did, should they be held accountable as accessories to the fact?

So, the argument now seems to be that we should denigrate lawyers for representing clients we don't approve of. Forget the right or representation...
