Here are the words of former head of the Office of Legal Counsel (U.S. Assistant Attorney General) for Presidents Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush, Republican Douglas Kmeic. Yet another well-educated conservative republican endorsing Obama.

"I believe him to be a person of integrity, intelligence, and genuine good will....I do have confidence that the senator will cast his net widely in search of men and women of diverse, open-minded views and of superior intellectual qualities to assist him in the wide range of responsibilities that he must superintend."

"No doubt some of my friends will see this as a matter of party or intellectual treachery. I regret that, and I respect their disagreement. But they will readily agree that as Republicans, we are first Americans. As Americans, we must voice our concerns for the well-being of our nation without partisanship when decisions that have been made endanger the body politic."

Yup, in spite of the protestations here (and claims of how unready and radical Obama is) there are plenty of Republicans (many of them very prominent) wise enough to see through the clutter and garbage being spread (particularly online) and realize that Obama is the right choice.

Indeed. I think the "Obama's a secret Muslim," "Michelle said whitey" race-baiting stuff done by many posters on this board is futile. The people who would fall for this stuff are probably the same people who wouldn't vote for Obama anyway due to his race and his "furriner" name.

Of course it is. I've never seen a single person change his or her point of view because of the trash talk on this board.

Great news maybe but until you post a link where we can corroborate and read more for ourselves it is hard to just accept. Remember so many post here are just not factual and present no corroboration so it is important to do so.

Convictions : Endorsing Obama

This endorsement is from March 23, has he said anything lately?

Many people have brought up many good reasons not to vote for Obama but those posts seem to float to the bottom of the forum. The only posts Obama's supporters are willing to respond to are the propaganda posts.

He continues his support of Obama and mentions him in his writings. In a column dated 6/7/08, he says Obama "....is more dedicated toward reducing the partisanship of the past, has very responsibly and very consistently called upon our better natures, and has articulated -- long before he sought the presidency -- a genuine appreciation for the importance of faith in the public square."
