As Obama-hating wingnuts work overtime to discredit the immense popularity of President Obama, an inconvenient truth emerged Thursday morning that will surely be ignored: after one month of taking office during heavy economic turmoil, Barack Obama is more popular than his white house predecessors.

Impossible, you say?

Gallup

02/20-02/30

Obama: 65%
Bush: 61%
Clinton: 58%
Bush Sr.: 60%
Reagan: 55%

Nice try though, dixiegirl7.

This isn't a contest over which president is best. Lets grow up, stop trying to one-up each other and work together.

I don't know what thread you are referring to, but any thread created just to 'stick it' to a person or party is pretty petty.

rotflmao. things are really going south in Obama Land when an approval rating of 4% over Bush is proudly touted.

Even worse when the true numbers are really posted:

Obama Job Approval Dips Below 60% for First Time

"PRINCETON, NJ -- For the first time since Gallup began tracking Barack Obama's presidential job approval rating on Jan. 21, fewer than 60% of Americans approve of the job he is doing as president. In Feb. 21-23 polling, 59% of Americans give Obama a positive review, while 25% say they disapprove, and 16% have no opinion."

LMAO.

True numbers? Can you not read?

1. Log on to Gallup.Com - Daily News, Polls, Public Opinion on Government, Politics, Economics, Management.
2. Wait a few seconds.
3. Direct your eyes to the top-left corner of the page and look under "Obama job approval"
4. Read and weep. Obama's Job Approval: 65%.

Nice try though.

Makes no sense. There was nothing to "dissaprove" Bush for in 2001 because he really didn't do anything and came into office with a great economy. He left office with his approvals in the 20% range. Obama's approval is very high at 65% which is higher than the last five presidents at this time during their term.

whoa wait ... did some retard just said Bush had a great rating too in the first month, and not take into consideration how everything was fine and dandy when he took office ... and certainly very different from the crap he left us just a month ago.

The wingnuts don't want to hear it.

Facts are irrelevant.

You people always forget the dot-com bubble. Bush didn't come into a thriving economy. That's an outright lie but I'll just assume you had no clue of the trillions lost from that who deal. Also maybe you remember but there was a big liberal conspiracy theory about the 2000 elections...

Selective or outright dismissive memory.
