He is now looking worse by the day. Today on CNN stating that he "solved the economic crisis", and is "proud of his work".

Add this posturing to the fact he cares not who he appoints on his ticket= a very selfish ego-driven man. NOT what America needs.

I find it infuriating this man acts like he is already president, and has so little regard for the needs of America. Country first indeed.

Oh I know Iknow....................

Obama called in the solution............... right........... from his cell phone............... on the road campaigning..............

oh except for the brief stint he had to appear in DC because he was summoned with his tail between

his legs for show.

Not understanding what his handlers told him to say.

Because lord knows he does not manage anything well after his Chicago fiasco!

What did Mccain do? Harry Reid and others told him he wasnt needed, the whole thing was a cheap ploy, and he is still talking about it today like he personally resolved everything (and the bailout may not even work, according to Republican economist Ben Stein)

I was not for it regardless of who supported it. It may backfire on him.

Actually, most Americans ARE stupid. Most PEOPLE are stupid. Intelligence isn't a trait of the average man, and as we all know most people are slightly below average.

McCain continues to dig his own grave.....let him claim whatever. Most Independents are not buying and that is his biggest problem.

To OP...sorry, but the current American is easily manipulated. Bush being re-elected is a prime-example of that. The problem also lies with the voting public and lack of willing to look at things in other ways.

I was raised Republican...does that mean I have to stick with it forever and just assume I was born into the correct position? No. Same goes for Religion. Some people need to question themselves and what they were pushed into believing and examine facts and be willing to look at the world through many different (even uncomfortable at times) angles.

Obama never claimed to solve this problem, unlike McCain. And he never claimed that he would bring the parties together, unlike McCain. And he never claimed that he was successful in doing so even as the bill was failing in the House, unlike McCain.

And, unlike McCain, Obama was the one asking the people in the White House what the sticking points were and whether or not the House Republicans could get by them. And Obama was saying which side he supported while McCain was sitting quietly in the meeting. And McCain wasn't answering when Obama asked him which version of the bailout he supported. And it wasn't Obama that ended the meeting by suggesting that the House Republicans might have a point, which gave the House Republicans the signal they needed to vote against the bill.

McCain screwed up, and everyone except the faithful few knows it.

McCain and the republicans have tried numerous times to get laws in place that Clinton reversed since 2001!
2 yrs after Clinton reversed the glass-steagall bill ! Wake up people....................

What has Obama done in reference to change of this reversal?

Yes, John the maverick racist solved the problem. He supported the $700 billion bail out. It was turned down. Now the bail out is $850 billion and contains an additional $150 billion in pork and beans and he once again supports it, because he's against waste and will change DC.

What a complete mental case this guy is.

Three points:

1.The bailout hasn't been solved so no one has solved it.
2. He managed a campaign that out fund raised and stunned Hillary Clinton and won.
3. He managed a campaign that has him up in every national poll and with a clear majority in the electoral college as of today. Hmmmm and that is over John McCain who appears to be out managed at this point. Or is it out manned by a better one?
