The key thing is not the five points but that Obama is still polling within two of his high and still close to 50%. McCain is neither. He is off his high by three and seven from half. Obama is closer to the magic number with less ground needed to get there. I said over the weekend they each need to stay near their high within the margin of error for 50%. How close they are is not as significant as those critical comparisons.

TY, this is a major next week for McCain. He has had campaigns crash and burn before and McCain needs to be able to run for president and not just try to win the next news cycle.
