Correct...
That said the same scorn if not more should be applied to any elected Rep who uses pork to get money for pet projects. We have a legal system in place that makes every dime of aid money completely above table. Pork and ear marks is a system that is used to by-pass how they are supposed to get the cash. Not surprisingly either. They know that they would have to actually justify the projects value and worth. No doubt a good share of the waste would be avoided.

McCain didn't get any pork or earmarks out of that $110 billion. I understand your point, he voted for it....but let's be clear, he has never asked for or accepted even $1 of pork/earmarks for his state. Of course he has voted for bills with pork. The other option is vote against every single bill...they ALL have pork in them! He has taken stands and voted against pork many times but it isn't a battle he can win as a Senator. It is a battle he can win as a President.
