In my view, Obama's mentor, Frank Marshal' Davis' background could get him in trouble with older voters who know about communism. Yes, there is an AP article out there one can read, but the author does not tell who Mr. Davis was. He was not a terrorist, but a declared communist, and member of the Communist Party USA.
Aside from the fact that he's an unrepentant terrorist, I don't like Ayers' educational beliefs. Ayers created the Chicago Annenberg Challenge (CAC), a failed school reform initiative that was based on ethnic identity education instead of academic achievement education. Seems focusing on fighting 'The Man' instead of reading, writing, math, and science doesn't work. Obama was the chairman of CAC's board for 4 years.

Since Obama's father left him when Obama was 2 years old I really doubt that he and his dad were hanging out swilling booze and debating politics while he was still in diapers. First of all, Walter Annenberg was a well known conservative Republican. Second, Annenberg himself decided who received an Annenberg grant and who did not. William Ayers was one of the writers for the Chicago grant, and had been closely aligned with the Annenberg Challenge grants, generally, for years. Barack Obama, a growing star in the Chicago legal community, came along much later, and was invited, not by Ayers but by two other board members, to serve on the founding Board of Directors. That's about it, pal. Unless you're going to claim that every other member of the board, as well as Annenberg himself, was a "terrorist sympathizer," singling out Obama is just a transparent effort to sandbag him.

You forgot to mention the former president of Northwestern University, Weber, who quit the board in protest over the direction the project was taking.

People resign from boards all the time. You didn't answer my question. Why single out Obama? Are you prepared to say that all the other board members who served with him are also "terrorist sympathizers"? If not, why not?
