Interesting - Houston is about as liberal as I imagined it to be, even with all the city-limit suburbs out near the beltway.

My fellow Houstonians, I hope you have been disgusted by McCain's revolting tactics in the last few weeks. Using a racist sheriff at a rally to say "Hussein" and whip the racists in the crowd into a fervor, another rally leader saying "Hussein" to similar effect, people screaming that Obama is a "traitor" a "terrorist" and "kill him." This is not America.

No decent American would want McCain-Palin. They represent a hatred towards knowledge, justice, reason, and bring out the worst in us. I came into this race expecting to vote for McCain because I thought he was fiscally conservative and socially liberal. But I have become so disgusted by what the Republicans have become that I feel we have no choice but to punish them, both for the good of the country and so that the Republican party will force itself to reform.
