I don't know your age, or if you are a native Carolinaian, or what the public schools covered about our history. But when you say "traditional American values". I really want to know what you mean. Do you mean the TAV that deprived minorities the vote for over 100 years? Do you mean the TAV that would not allow Black CITIZENS of the US to use public restrooms, transportation and other facilities until VERY LATE in the 20th century? TAV that deprived schools in minority neighborhoods of adequate funding for teachers, facilities and textbooks for a long time, and which continues today?

Yes, it is a system that has allowed for some things that need correcting, but not a complete, throw it out and overhaul to socialism, as Obama wants to do.
Huh? Can you state ONE INSTANCE where Obama (or anyone working for him) has even HINTED at "a complete throw out and overhaul to Socialism"? If you can provide a link I'll start campaigning for McCain tomorrow morning!

Sir or Madam. I refer you to my response, above, and to any reputable book on United States History.

I disagree with him on virtually every single issue!
So, you disagree that the wealthy should at least pay their own way?

You disagree with rewarding excellence in any job?

You disagree with investing money in PROVEN EDUCATIONAL methods and concepts?

You disagree that the Reagan/Bush tax cuts, which took from the middle class, which I'm guessing might be you, and gave to the very wealthy?

You disagree that Cindy McCain's taxes might have to go up a tiny bit from the approximately 22% that they were on her $10,000,000. Instead of DECREASING?

You disagree that we cannot continue to sacrifice our young men and women (and pay for the continued care of the severely wounded) for a war that was simply a choice of an egomaniacal Vice President and his henchmen, and a method to vastly enrich their close friends?

Just a few questions for you. BTW, if you give a knee jerk reaction, within 20 minutes or so of my post, I (and everyone else on C-D) will know you did NOT consider anything I asked you.

It’s not just whites that may say oh no way I’m voting for the black guy, those saying and thinking the other well I’ll bet ya those would darn near swallow anything anyone told them, flour is actually anthrax, there’s cocaine in flour placed in there by the flour companies to make folks buy more flour, little known fact that when flour enters your body it turns into a glue like substance and will clog arteries, etc, and most don’t know it but also if you go to the poles of the earth the magnetic force will keep you there forever, now tell me these are well or semi well educated folks believing all the political garbage out there.

Everyone has there own beliefs, needs and wants to vote for whom ever they wish and that is there right, I look at things this way, obama will give those little folks ( the folks that most just put out of mind, out of sight, not my problem ), the ones that have been beaten down time after time while trying to climb the ladder out of the sewer, true some make it out but some try and can’t, and yes I hate to bring it up but even joe the you know what finally get his own business, for those obama will give them that extra little push hoping that yes they do make it then we have more working Americans, more tax paying Americans, less strain on government if by chance some were on welfare.

What helped build this country, the little guy not the big boys, help the big boys out and do you actually think that trickle down economics will work when It hasn’t in eight years (example, oils companies & financial institutions), one man cannot fix the worlds problems but when you have one intelligent man that is not bullheaded, stubborn, and willing to work with others towards a positive direction becoming progressive not regressive and surrounds himself with many other like intelligent men then you have a system that will work for the benefit of all not just a select few.
