While I agree with the sentiment that God has a master plan that has nothing to do with likability of the candidate, I don't think we are any closer to the end times than we were 20 years ago. Remember the third temple has yet to be built and right now there is a mosque in the way of that happening. The likelihood of Obama supporting Israel in kicking the muslims off the temple mount is a lot lower than McCain/Palin supporting that. If you believe what scripture says then you know that the abomination of desolation can not be set up in the temple if it doesn't exist yet.
Just sayin
We are obviously 20 years closer to the end times than we were 20 years ago...
Yes, the third temple has to be built, but the way things are going over there that temple could be destroyed at any time. Not that I like to think of more violence but I'm afraid that's what's in store no matter what, no matter who is president, no matter what negotiations are made. The Bible SAYS there will never be peace over there (until Jesus returns).
Every one listen.......! " MISTERY " ------ """ Mistery"""" thats were it ALL this thoughts come down to MISTERYS of GOD !!!! no one can know the answers .
If you are a religious person, do you pray about elections? If so, have you prayed about past elections? If you have prayed about past elections, have you given God credit for having a hand in the outcome?
If you're praying that McCain wins this election and Obama wins instead, will you believe that God wanted Obama to win, or will you believe that some other force came into play. And if so, what?
He's got the whole world in his hands, hes got the whole world in his hands............
I am praying for our country and for both candidates and for his will to be done. We cannot even begin to fathom his plans or what he allows to happen, we just have to remember that no matter who win's, God is still in control, and the ending of the book has already been written we just dont know exactly what path takes us there!
Our job is to be sure we are on the right side!
I am a Christian and a Democrat. (Yes, many of us believe in God and in salvation through Jesus Christ.) As far as NASCAR races, elections, football games, etc., I believe there are good Christians on both sides praying to God to let them win. Everyone can't win. God doesn't favor football teams or political parties. He is only concerned with our individual relationship to Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. Thus, the only way we can pray about elections is that God's will be done. Praying otherwise is praying that our own will be done. Trust me, when George Bush was elected twice, I almost lost my religion, but I have lived through it. I often think of that Bette Midler song, "From a Distance." We are too close to things on earth to understand that the whole universe works because of each thing that happens. Only God understands how each earthly thing works to balance His universe.

God gave us the power of choice/the ability to make decisions. I have been praying daily that He will help all Americans to make the right decision when voting. Only God sees the big picture and if the person I am voting for doesn't win the election, I can only assume that there is a reason for it - something that I didn't see or don't know. I can only trust in God that that He is helping us to all make the right choice for this country (whether it's my choice or not)

I AGREE!
This is basically what I was saying....only God sees the Big Picture. We only see our tiny part in it all...
