Polls indicate McCain is up by 12 percent yet there haven't been any polls for Texas in a long time. Everyone assumes McCain will win, which is a pretty fair assumption in Texas. Yet I live in Houston and know of one person voting for McCain. And my crowd is pretty diverse. Also, I think Laredo, the Valley and Corpus will come out in record numbers. They are heavily Democratic. What are your thoughts?

I'm voting for him. I think Austin is pretty pro-Obama, too.

Texas could go Blue.

Senator McCain certainly holds it by a smaller margin than President Bush did. Do you all have early voting? When does it start?

God I sure hope so, that would make my sons so happy, 1 in Austin and the other in Dallas. My oldest hates that he can't even talk about his choice for POTUS at work because too many wingnuts work there.

Yep, I think you're one of the few Texans who thinks Obama has a chance here. Hell's bells if Obama himself thought he had a chance, he'd be barreling butt to have rallies in Austin and Houston. It's not like he doesn't have plenty of money.

But, enjoy your fantasies.

Ooops, wait a minute, on my way home from the hospital today, I did notice a second Obama yard sign up in my town today. The place looked like a crack house but, hey, they apparently vote their interests!

You'll have to excuse our Austinites. Many seem to think the Texas consists of Travis County alone.

Heh, well, that's OK. The rest of us try to forget that Austin exists!
