I 'm not talking about fraud and all that. I talking about what to expect this time around. We had voted in Michigan and got right in . Now we moved to North Carolina. I know the Obama camp has registered many new voters. They are already saying there will be long lines. There is early voting here. I know it sounds silly but there is something more exciting to vote on election day. I'm sure I will regret saying that. So how will it be messed up. I would hate to have issues. Do people think it will be a long night or a winner earlier. I just hope there are no big issues. I thought and perhaps it could be the same in other states. But I was reading the Virginia paper that I believe said that when you go to vote Nov 4 you can't wear anything that displays who you are voting for. If you do you will be asked to cover it up or remove it like a button. Is that because of the anger this race has shown or is that normal?

About the t-shirts, etc. Different states have different rules. Why not play it safe and leave the political buttons, shirts, etc. home on Nov. 4?

As for lines--I would expect long lines at most polling paces. Your best bet is probably voting early in the morning. OTOH, the high number of people voting early/absentee may relieve the surge somewhat.

Very long lines....even during early voting. I guess they figure there is no need to properly staff for these things or have enough voting locations and booths because everyone has 3-4 hours to give up from work to vote

I know it's fun to vote on Nov. 4, but I recommend early voting. I went this morning to a polling place with probably 20 voting booths and there was a line with 20-25 people in it and a co-worker went at lunch and said it was the same. My husband went to a mobile voting location today at a bookstore and said the line was all over the store, but they probably only had a couple of machines. Anyway, there could be really long lines on the 4th.

If you lived in Ohio you could expect that 1 of every 25 was not qualified to be voting.

Which is partly what I mean. Machines are going to break. Paper ballots won't be there. I hope they get in every state the voting is going to be high in numbers. They should get that as I believe it was record high in the primaries.
