If things really get bad, and Obama makes them worse( if he gets elected, this scenario goes for McCain as well) then you will find that Obama quickly becomes the most hated president ever. Probably 30% will hate him no matter what, maybe 20% will love him no matter what. But the other 50% will expect results. If Obama swings to the left and doesn't try to lead from the center, he'll be hated. If he appears weak and indecisive, he'll be hated. He can't be your typical liberal. So he'll alienate alot of his base by ignoring them or he'll alienate the majority of americans if he ignores them.
Clinton inherited low oil prices and did his best when he was a hands off president. he did nothing to help or hurt the economy and for a good 5 years we enjoyed good times. It was only when he tried to influence social issues and used poor jugement did he fall out of favor. Bush tried to influence the economy and world affairs and made things worse in some cases. Obama or McCain better learn from these two or they'll be a bigger fool than either.

Personally, I don't see how Obama or McCain will do anything different than what Bush has done. Their policies are basically identical to each other, and both are essentially the same as Bush.

I for one, then, would rather keep Bush for another 4 years. At least we know the dufus that he is, and we've all learned to hate him.

With these two fools wanting to be President, we'll have to go through the whole process again, and in the end get the same results.

So I say, BUSH FOR FOUR MORE YEARS!!

Oh yes it does, it's all about speculation, and a strong, smart president like Obama will send a clear message.

The only thing in the air is something illegal that you are smoking.

Just for the record to the OP who expects his new P { MARGIN: 0px } UL { MARGIN-TOP: 5px; MARGIN-BOTTOM: 5px } OL { MARGIN-TOP: 5px; MARGIN-BOTTOM: 5px } Messiah to change the world, I will save your posts proclaiming Osalami Hussien to be the 2nd coming of the Lord. I give it maybe 6 months after the closet muslim is in office for all the anti Hussien Obama posts to start hitting this forum.

He may be your hero now but by next year you will be on this very forum complaining what a bum and a liar he is.

Sound familiar?

I know, it's been happening for a hundred years now.

You're right! Other things I've noticed since it became clear Obama will be president:
  • Fewer tornados
  • Fewer hurricanes
  • Fewer floods
  • Fewer blizzards
  • Fewer asteroid strikes
  • Oppresive heat giving way to cooler temps nationwide
  • Less incidents of violent crime than in the first 9 months of 2008
  • No terrorist attacks on US soil
  • New episodes of some of my favorite shows
  • Cute animated forest denizens gathering around my window each morning
  • More people whistling "Don't Worry Be Happy"
  • Generally more skipping, prancing, and hand-holding
  • Israelis and Palestinians playing games of two-hand touch to settle their differences
  • Sale of holiday items increasing steadily
  • Rumblings of an Air Supply reunion tour

Dude, I CANNOT WAIT for Obama to get in office. Life is going to be so sweet. The only negative I've heard is that Christ canceled his long-awaited return, scheduled for 2009, to avoid being shown-up by Obama.

Hmmmm. Stock market tanked again today. Nah, not stable, not good. The next prez will have an incredible amount of huge problems to tackle and there will be no miracles next year.

I bet President Bush would like to take credit for the above good things.

Well I'm not so sure about less hand holding ...

Possibly less international hostility though ...
