I know the GOP is seen as more pro-military but I wondered if there were any vets, soldiers or army families who are Dem/Pro-Obama and if so, why?

Just Curious...

With the state of Veterans Affairs and places like Walter Reed, I guarantee you they'll be plenty of military voting Democrat.

We are not an Army family but a Navy family and we are voting for Obama. You are right most military do tend to vote republcan. My husband and I respect McCain for his serivce to our country but we do not agree with his views. We feel Obama is a better choice for our country.

I was in the USN(R) from 1963 to 1969. I served in the Riverine Forces in "Nam 1965 to 1966.

I am appalled by the misuse of the American military in a misguided attempt at empire. I am appalled at the gross mistreatment of our veterans. I am angered by fraudulent contractors delivering unusable weapons. I am also angered by the corruption of our intelligence agencies by the neocons.

BTW - I am, with pride and hope, voting for OBAMA.

What's the state of veterans affairs? Lack of funding? I've heard bad stuff about Walter Reed. Sorry, I don't keep up on military stuff

I just finished up with the Army and am voting Obama. Obama voted for the new GI bill that updated it, McCain voted against it

I'm a vet, '66-'75 and I'm voting Obama. What's more important is the number of current active duty and their families who are voting D this time. I met two ladies yesterday in line at a Joe Biden event. Both had husbands who are active duty, and they said that they knew of at least a dozen more military wives in their community who were not only voting D but spending all their spare time volunteering at the local Obama office.
