Some McCain supporters come to forums and write wild speculation and mean spirited insults about the Obamas...channeling every "forward this" e-mail from the lunatic fringe as though it is gospel.

That makes it very hard for a serious minded person (including a lot of Republicans) to want to associate themselves with such ideas.

Some Obama supporters come to the forums and suggest that Christians and Christian beliefs are anti-intellectual and that Christians are not capable of rational thought.

That makes it very hard for Christians, including those who agree with 99% of Obama's platform, to feel comfortable in their support of Obama. We do not want anyone to assume that, because we support Obama, that we embrace these postings that mock our even stronger support of our Lord.

So, if you really do not intend to hurt your candidates, you all might want to think carefully about those who are reading your postings. You may unintentionally be turning those away from your candidate who might otherwise vote for them.
