Well I just go on here today, so I haven't seen it anywhere else. If you've been on here all day you should get out of the house more. Seems as if the poll bothers you. So why visit the thread at all....move along to something more enjoyable.

Not only that, why is it garbage? Because it doesn't show Obama with a 50 point lead?

Do you call all the other polls posted that show Obama way ahead (you know, the ones that weren't as accurate as this one) garbage as well?

No, you must look at the whole picture...currently there are 15 polls listed at RCP of those 5 show Obama's lead to be in double digits, only 2 show his lead to be less than 4% (IBD/TIPPand AP). Obama's average lead is a rather comfortable 7.5%.

Now let's seee....hmmmm.

Northeast Obama 51-33

Midwest Obama 45-41

West Obama 47-44

Now let's go look at the map...

Northeast, (loosely speaking)

Vermont 3EV
New Hampshire 4EV
Rhode Island 4EV
Conneticut 7EV
Massachusetts 12EV
New York 31 EV
New Jersey 15EV
Maryland 10EV
District of Columbia 3EV
Pennsylvania 21EV

West

Washington 11EV
Oregon 7EV
California 55EV
New Mexico 5EV
Colorado 9EV

Midwest

Michigan 17EV
Illinois 21EV
Wisconsin 10EV
Minnesota 10EV
Iowa 7EV

You can have the entire South except Virgina

13

That's a grand total of 282 Electoral Votes.

As 2000 showed, you are more than welcome to go 1% over Obama if you like.

Rasmussen and SUSA are usually the ones I give most weight to. This also defies the overall trend. It will be intersting to see if it is the start of a new trend or an outlier, I imagine it will be diffacult to tell because election day is so near. I guess we will see who is right Nov. 4.

You'd better call Chicago and tell them to transfer all that champagne to Phoenix.

It's garbage because it shows McCain with a 50% lead among 18-24 year old voters.

It takes only a lick of common sense to figure out this poll has problems. And I'm not one to discount polls just because there's some bad news in it. You didn't see me whining about polling when McCain was up a few points in early September. But a 50% McCain lead among a subgroup that every poll the entire election season has shown with a pretty convincing Obama lead...
