Just curious...If, as the few McCain/neo-cons left will have you believe, the world is going to end when taxes are raised on people making 250k/+ a year, all businesses will leave America, and all the filthy rich will pull out of America, etc. etc...
Then why have we lost more industry, business, and jobs under Bush (who CUT taxes for these filthy rich), than we did under Clinton (who RAISED taxes on the filthy rich)??? Why have incomes remained stagnant and/or dropped for everyone. below the top 5% or so, since this same crowd took over and the wonderful 'trickle-down' policies were put back in place?

Where are these people going to go? If they have supposedly become filthy rich because they work so hard everyday in their small business as plumbers, they are now going to lay people off, sell everything, and stop working because their tax rate went up a few %???

Iceland has lower tax rates than the U.S. yet they are bankrupt???

Hmmmm.....like everything else coming from these people, doesn't really seem to add up...??? Seems to only make sense for scaring the crap out of people who can be so easily fooled!

Fear is all McCain and his supporter have. Bush stomped all over right and freedoms and started his personal revenge war by scaring cowards into supporting him. McBush offers only more of the same fear mongering about even knowing a radical, tax increase, and everything else.

Yes. Obama is a liar. The $250,000 is a 'proposal', meaning what he says he is going to do until he gets elected, and then drops a zero off the end of that 250k.

Ahhhh...So the best retort you can offer is that 'Obama is a liar'???

Are the McBush supporters really this bankrupt of any thought or reason?

Anyone home? Obama wants to cancel the Bush tax cuts, a tax cut which lowered someones taxes who made $8,000 a year from 15% to 10%. That is NOT just on those who earn over $250K a year.

Yeah, he'll give another credit afterwards, but he is raising everyones taxes, then proposing a new "credit"

Iceland is bankrupt due to bad investments, it has NOTHING to do with tax rates, (other then show an examploe as to why we dont want the government controlling our retirement money (401K) as recently being examined by the Dem Congress)

Wrong. He wants to let the top two tiers expire, not the rest.

You cant just let parts of a bill expire and not the rest. The Supreme Court ruled that illegal. Its all or nothing..

Besides being factually wrong, you still make no sense...

So Bush lowered taxes and we lost tons of jobs, and incomes stayed stagnant for the longest period in history. Clinton raised taxes and income and job growth exploded.....

So Iceland went bankrupt because of 'bad investments'...Like the ones we're making fighting a B.S. war in Iraq? Like the ones we're making to bailout fat-cat Wall Street failures? Like the ones we're making to give oil companies tax breaks while they do nothing to help us with our energy needs in the U.S.? Like the prescription drug plan REPUBLICANS supported in full force? Like the education bill REPUBLICANS supported in full force?

But how can that happen? I thought tax cuts were the answer to the worlds problems?

Yes, it is a good retort. Those who don't learn from history, such as democrats, are doomed to repeat it. Anyone remember what Bill Clinton promised he'd do with taxes, and anyone remember what he actually did after getting elected?
