And that is exactly why he is wrong, as you are. Many small towns have intelligent people living there. To say otherwise shows that one has no idea what they are talking about. Yes, there are ignorant and crazy people but hell, they happen to be everywhere.

But on the other hand, what about rape?
Sarah Palin is against abortion even in cases of rape and incest. This is why I cannot find myself supporting GOP. Don't get me wrong. I respect McCain for being a solder and I think he will be better than Bush if he is elected but Sarah Palin is what ruined any chance of me voting for him.

I don't care if the Republicans get thrashed, but that is not what we are talking about. The fact is that the Dems will pass bills that are not good for the country just because they can because there will not be any checks for them. We will see, but I just don't see Obama willing to stand up to his own party. He sure hasn't yet.

And they did just that by voting her out, but again, the President has very little control of things happening in disaster areas.

Don't get me wrong here folks. I love America and completely support you voting for who you believe in even if I cannot understand why you would vote Republican?
I understand what you are saying but you have to realize that when we have checks and balances the government works best and it is better for the country as a whole. Obama will not stand up to his party and will just keep signing bills as they come in front of him, just like idiot Bush did. This is not good for our country at all.

But do you realize there are polices in place to make sure the government can not just swoop in and make decisions and calls for any state? That the government within the state has to ask for federal help.
Rules are put in place for a reason. Please learn the system before placing the blame.
You do realize that the past several years Bush has not been able to do a darn thing but agree or disagree with congress, which is democratic control..correct? The performance you are actually judging is that of the current congress, both house and senate.

Not to mention his personality and his morals and horrible as well as his policies. He is very demeaning towards women as he called his wife a c*nt and voted AGAINST fair and equal pay for women. As a woman, I find that extremely sexist and demeaning. His party is pro life and wants me too keep every child that is inside of me but yet they will do not want to give me health care. John McCain voted AGAINST mandatory children's healthcare.

Sarah Palin says there are no exceptions even in cases of rape and incest...that I have to carry the child and if I have no insurance, then I am screwed. On top of that, they will not offer health care but FORCE you to have a child? Pro life? Come on! If they are going to force you to have a baby when you were raped, then they BETTER GIVE the child health insurance until the day the child dies!

John McCain voted AGAINST the medical care leave? Need I say more?

John McCain voted AGAINST College Cost Reduction, College tax credits, AGAINST college prep, Community College and Loan Forgiveness!

Now how in the world..? WHAT?

This guy is sexist and on top of it...does not want you to be educated. I guess he and the Republican party would rather pay to fund the Iraqis instead of our own people! Or better yet, if it does not bring HIM money, then he will vote against it.

And as for jobs? Where are they? And why in the world would Bush (or anyone) give TAX CUTS to companies that send jobs overseas?

Anyone remember Hurricane Katrina and Bush's response to it? After that crap, I knew the Republicans were after one thing..and one thing only..oil. When Clinton (Bless his soul) was in office, gas was around a dollar.

With Bush in office, the cost of gas has gone up while cost of living has also increased. And John McCain voted AGAINST minimum wage increases. Where do the Republicans expect me to get my money from? I am a 20 year old trying to go to college and pay for gas...and tuition, food...my god!

And after all this, don't get me started on the decreasing value of our dollar...

The smear tactics..the false accusations of being a terrorist or socialist..or a racist, what else does GOP (Greedy old party) have? Guns and God? Christianity? Religion? Ah, yes. Religion. The ONE thing that the Greedy Old Party has going for them.

Anyone can see that Obama would be the MUCH BETTER choice. With hope and luck, we will see the change we can believe in!

It is just a wonder how ANYONE after all this can vote for McCain (voting with Bush ninety percent of the time)/Palin because I have had it with this failing Bush Administration.

How in the world can anyone vote republican? Cause we're not all whining liberals looking for welfare handouts.

Oh yeah, most of us don't worship trees either.

"Intelligent" has different meanings. My father-in-law, no Bush fan, once said that Bush must not be as stupid as he's thought, because you need brains to fly a naval aircraft. Well, maybe that's true, but the skill set you need to be a good naval aviator or baseball team owner or plumber is not the skill set you need to be a good president--or even a good observer of the political scene.

Furthermore, otherwise intelligent people can be hobbled by terrible ideas. Marxism was one that infected a lot of upper class people. Things like creationism and homophobia infect the lower class.

You do also realize that many of the Dems wish to take states' rights away from and make everything the federal government pervue?

We've had a President that is "pro-life" for 8 years, but guess what? Abortion is still legal, so let's face it: it's not going to go away anytime soon.
