when polls have consistently shown that they do not work? This has really mystified me. The lower they go in the polls, the more vicious their attacks become--especially at Palin's rallies. I am completely baffled by this strategy.

Any thoughts?

There comes a point where the gun is just shooting blanks, so you just throw the gun at the other guy.

Honestly, I think they're stuck in a quagmire. Look at tonight. McCain had to go on Larry King and say Obama is not a socialist, completely contradicting his own statements and his running mate's.

1. Because that's the only thing white trash know how to do?
2. Because JM saw how attacks beat him in the 2000 primaries, so he's going to pass it on, like wife beating gets passed on...
3. Because JM doesn't have any message to sell
4. Because GOP stands for Gooey Oily Poop

I'm not sure, does anybody have any link to polls that show peoples reaction to them?

The whole Rashid Khalidi deal is pretty odd as if you just read the headlines, you'd think they were talking about Ayers again. I guess they are trying to get the Florida jewish vote back. I like his quote though:

"I am not speaking to the media at this time, and certainly not until this idiot wind passes."

Stop playing the victim.
McCAIN/PALIN are more of the victims for the press and OBAMA.

OBAMA is a master at playing the VICTIM in his campaign and he has brainwashed all his supporters.

He lashes on McCAIN and mocks McCAIN a lot and calls him insulting names such as

Bush
Desperate
etc...

That's all they have left.

They are incapable of reason or rational. They have nothing to offer for the future and they don't want to look to the past.

They don't have anything else. The attacks at least keep their base fired up. And they're taking a gamble on undecided voters or voters who lean slightly towards Obama by trying to discredit him; a last minute upset is all that they have left to hope for.

Yes, because hatred can be contagious. They're out for those last minute bandwagon jumpers.
