The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of the state shows John McCain with 50% of the vote while Barack Obama picks up support from 46%. However, the presence of Ron Paul on the ballot adds an additional problem for the Republican hopeful. Six percent (6%) of McCain voters might vote for a third-party candidate while Obama faces no such threat.

Man I hope Ron Paul gets all his votes. He deserves them RP is awesome!!
The healthiest possible thing that could happen to the republican party - short of its disbanding in the wake of the one badly infected by the socialist Bush, and the formation of a new one - and to the US as a whole, is for it to lose a noticeable amount of seats, including the presidency, specifically due to third-party voting.
One would hope, though, for at least enough Senate seats, in the mid-40s, to maintain filibuster power, for the sake of some sort of balance.

At this point, I would rather the Democrats shut them out of the process completely. They need to be completely broken if there is ever to be a shred of credibility restored to the GOP.
I don't think there is much that could prevent the hemmoraging this cycle. I really didn't think the 60 seats were really possible but now I'm having to reconsider.
On the bright side, after this purge of the party, at least the neoconservative name will be equated right up there with Lyme disease and the Gonorrhea.

Gonorrhea can be fun to get...but the blowback is terrible.

Are you hinting at a Palin run for office in 12?
