I'm going to post this again. How about responding to it with facts rather than snark?

Israel violated the cease fire. They found a tunnel from a house that they believed was to be used abduct more Israeli soldiers. So they blew up the house, sealed off the tunnel, and launched a few missiles into Gaza. Palestinians retaliated. You see, without that context, your argument might have some merit, but it doesn't. This has nothing to do with Obama, and everything to do with the conflict that has been waging for decades, no centuries.

Rather, maybe it's a last move before semi-comatose, eternally vacationing Bush leaves (AGAIN he never saw it coming, seems to be something of a pattern here).

Because AGAIN this sh i te has happened on HIS watch.

While we idiotic Americans are busy being focused on stuff like whether the embossed seal on a birth certificate is raised enough to "be real". You know. The important stuff.

BTW, aside from managing to make a dig at YOUR NEW PRESIDENT over this, do you care AT ALL about the reality of it? Can even something like this be more "useful" as a dig?

Do you love America, pgh? Did you ever?

Israel-Hamas violence disrupts Gaza truce | International | Reuters

Of course Bush celebrated the Obama victory by dropping a few bombs, one thing Bush is actually pretty good at, even if his aim is a little off

Here is the problem. The OP is speculating that it was the fault of Hamas, yet you are speculating that it is the fault of Israel. Both of you are speculating, we don't have enough information to even decide who started what.

Lets look at some key aspects of the report:

First the report states:

Quote:
GAZA, Nov 5 (Reuters) - Hamas fired dozens of rockets at Israel on Wednesday after Israeli forces killed six Palestinian militants in an eruption of violence that disrupted a four-month-old truce along the Gaza Strip's frontier.
Ok, the bold suggests a conflict of violence that erupted to which Israel and Hamas responded to each other. Still no evidence to suggest who did start it or who is at fault, merely that this instance of violence disrupted the peace.

Now if you read through the report we get more of the details:

Quote:
On Tuesday, Israeli airstrikes killed five militants and Israeli soldiers shot dead a gunman during an incursion into the Gaza Strip. Israeli forces quit the coastal enclave in 2005 and Hamas took control after routing Fatah forces two years later.

The Israeli military said the aircraft went into action after militants attacked soldiers who entered Gaza to destroy a tunnel that Hamas had planned to use to kidnap Israeli soldiers.
And their response was as such:

Quote:
"We have no intention of violating the quiet. We have an interest in perpetuating the calm," Israeli Defence Minister Ehud Barak told reporters.

"But whenever it is necessary to thwart operations against Israel Defence Force soldiers or the civilians on the Gaza outskirts, we will act."
Hamas did not make a statement in that report nor does it confirm or deny Isreal's claims of the act and reasoning.

If in fact Hamas was tunneling in with a plot to kidnap soldiers, then Israel was well within their bounds to collapse the tunnel. If Hamas fired on them during this incident, Israel would be correct in their response to the militants who attacked the soldiers.

So the issue is if their claims are true. The report does not confirm this or provide any evidence to support Israel, nor does it provide any evidence to support Hamas's attack.

This report really tells us nothing. Making any conclusions on it would be foolish at best regardless of which side is using it in an argument.

What I am seeing is the maniacs in the world that wanted Obama in because he is weak, stupid and a sucker are now going at it. They know Bush can do nothing, as he is a lame duck....waiting for Obama to take over. Every decision will be discussed and approved by Obama now. EVERYTHING that happens now is on Obama and his supporters shoulders!

Blowback. Unintended consequences of past foreign policy. Learn what that means.
