Well, here we go. I had heard about the Emanuel appointment for Chief of Staff, of course, but didn't know much about him. Now I do. Obama's pretty words about working with everyone and unity have now become a lie. Already.
Emanuel is another Chicago politician and a cut-throat Dem.
Do you seriously believe that any Obama supporters care about sour-grape whining from another Republican sore-loser???
Get serious!!! Your party - people who think like you - are in the minority - and will be a smaller minority as each year passes... you really should come to grips with this before you drive yourself insane...
I don't care how you feel - if you express hope that Obama will fail - I and most Obama supporters will just ignore you... Your side is small potatoes... Your side is irrelevant... Your side is powerless to do a damn thing to prevent Obama and his supporters from implementing a new and better plan to rebuild America..

So, you needed two posts -- one to bash me personally (and erroneously, I might add) and one to parrot the Obamaphile response. Pathetic, in both regards.
First of all, I don't belong to a party. I'm a moderate Independent. The fact is that here in Texas, we don't even declare a party when we register. This is apparently a concept that partisans like yourself can't fathom.
Secondly, I think you need to read non-partisan analysis of the Emanuel choice. Emanuel is known to be VERY partisan, which instantly makes Obama's claims of seeking unity false, and he is also regarded as one who works mostly for himself. Clinton had problems with Emanuel leaking things to the press so he learned not to tell him anything he didn't want winding up on the front page. If you think that is excellent, well, that's your problem. And Obama's, come to think of it.

What a surprise! Another really productive thread started from a "political expert". Absolutely ridiculous. The man is highly qualified and, gee, i don't know...might even do a good job.
Lindsey Graham thinks the Emanuel pick was a great one:
"'I worked closely with him during the presidential debate negotiations which were completed in record time. When we hit a rough spot, he always looked for a path forward. I consider Rahm to be a friend and colleague. He's tough but fair. Honest, direct, and candid. These qualities will serve President-elect Obama well.
Rahm understands the challenges facing our nation and will, consistent with the agenda set by President-elect Obama, work to find common ground where it exists. I look forward to working with him in his new position and will continue to do everything I can to help find a pathway forward on the difficult problems facing our nation.'" http://lgraham.senate.gov/public/ind...2-e2781bb7d13c
You have a driven imagination to suit your fantasies! That article was from a Republican. Don't you listen to what the people who have worked with Rahm Emmanuel have said that he does indeed reach over the aisle, though he can be very tough. Heck, if I remember you wanted HIllary, and her hubby chose Rham to serve in his administation. Duh.
