I was wondering because I really haven't cared before. But can the public Attend Obama being sworn in as President and do you need tickets to attend?

I think you can just go. You can also line the streets and wave at the motorcade.

I have no idea either. I live in DC and I'm planning to take off work that day and just show up. I'm sure there will be thousands and thousands of people flooding downtown.

I believe that tickets are only required for the bleachers in front of the site for the actual swearing in. You don't need tickets to be on the parade route of course. There will be numerous public and semi-private affairs some are generally open to the general public.
