That he was thought of quite highly and as a hero in the time after the war for what he did during the Nazi occupation is more telling to me than that leftists today attack him.
So, all this stuff about the pope being God's spiritual presence on earth and the lack of concern for nonspiritual issues is nothing but bold talk, then.

I knew it!

Well, ..yes, but it really is more of the "keep women down" philosophy of most religions.

I know, it's a "liberal" thing that you just can't help yourself. I'll admit I don't like the boy, but, I don't hate him. To hate is to permit myself to be controlled. You might try the stance sometime, see how easier life is.

Don't get me started.

While I, too, am aghast at the formal stance of the Pope in 1942 and the disconnect in some of the current Church policies (and don't get me started on the children), there were many then and are many now who have stood up, who have spoken up, who have acted.

It's easy to attack the Church. They have huge borders of vulnerability.

This Cardinal seems to have added a new one. Joy.
Yes it is easy and it should remain so. God doesn't serve to divide humankind, religion does this, as yet another example stated above has come to show.

Did I say that? Uh, no, I didn't, but you said that I, DP, hate the messiah. So now that the shoe is on the other foot...
