That's how I've always felt. Since I have a house nearby, I've gone to every inauguration whether my side won or not. No matter who's elected, I'm proud of the process and fascinated by the logistics. I mean, think of it: We hand over power peacefully. How amazing is that!

Its now time for all of us to stand up , and be counted. These are historic times. Never in the minds of most of us , has it been more important. Show support !
Stand up...and be counted , its your Country , be proud.....whatever your politics.
Did you show support to President Bush? Do you believe people should have shown support to him, to our country during the last eight years? Or is showing support just important because it's Obama?

Obama has already shown he wants to work with both sides , on the most important issues facing our Country. With the economic turmoil that confronts us , it is important to get behind one goal , we need to be united . He says he will listen to all , with ideas.,.... that , is a fresh approach compared to the last eight years.
No one has a crystal ball , . All Leaders will have to face the issues directly , once the honeymoon is over ,...just give him a chance.
Lets not turn this thread into a political debate , there are other places to express your views. The ongoing events in Washington DC are historic because we have elected the first black President in history , don't spoil the moment.
