Bobby Kennedy ran on the platform of pulling out of Vietnam but he was assassinated.

George McGovern did the same and was pretty far left and pushed much harder. He lost due to the Eagleton debacle.

lol, the poster suggested that only Republicans are likely to get us into bad military adventures...I merely pointed out that the last time we had a bad military adventure, it wasn't a Republican that got us into it.
