I don't think such an animal exists. I never realized how divided and polarized the parties were until recently.

A short down memory lane (or U.S. History) will demonstrate that the current schism, while rancorous is hardly without precedent and in fact might be considered nothing more than a lover's quarrel in comparison.

Bush had a 90% approval rating at the end of his first year.

And a perfect president would be one that had little to deal with...which would allow them to lay low and not have to make controversial decisions. Any president who is faced with decisions is likely going to lose support.
