What makes you "conservatives" so damn certain the some piece of the Bushista government, or its allies, did NOT know of the planned attack? I am willing to bet Saudi Intelligence was very aware of what bin Laden and the boys were up to.

As for Jones being "a breath of fresh air", I kind of look at it in the same manner as the change that Obama called for. Change does not always mean for the better and a breath of fresh air can come from the stable.
I predicted, that is told people that the WTC was a likely target for an aircraft assault, over 30 years ago. I was just too tempting a target. I will admit I did not think they would use airliners full of defenseless people (another reason to always be armed) for their weapon because of the propaganda cost. I was wrong because I did not know about or factor in Whabbist fanaticism.
IMHO – the proper response would have been to hold any and all available bin Laden family members hostage and told the Saudi King to provide us with the bastards in a two months or he would, along with most of his family, been held personally responsible for all damages and costs up to and including surrender of the Saudi oil fields as reparations.
