Well, damn, its seems that Bush might actually be right about something for a change.

Quote:
According to a new book -- excerpts of which are to be published in the next issue of GQ Magazine and detailed Tuesday -- former President George W. Bush was incredulous upon learning that Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) was having trouble drawing a crowd and called his campaign a "five-spiral crash." He also asserted that Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin was "not even remotely prepared."
The Raw Story » Bush reportedly called McCain ‘a five-spiral crash,’ said Palin ‘not remotely prepared’ (http://rawstory.com/blog/2009/09/bush-reportedly-called-mccain-a-five-spiral-crash-said-palin-not-remotely-prepared/ - broken link)

If you read the story, Bush asked "What is she, the Governor of Guam"?

And the sad part is you know the guy would say something like that.

Neither Bush or Palin was qualified.... and one of them was Pres... So far, Obama is not to far from Palin though... I have been waiting for Wall Street reform since he proclaimed himself the person to fix the economy... I guess I will still be waiting long after he leaves office... rhetoric I guess but what amazes me is when Obama speaks against ideology, he does a 180 and talks about his own socialist ideology... its ironic...

Full Disclosure: I could not edit the title from "Qualified" to "Prepared"

Either way, since the man was accurate for once, it deserved recognition. He'd been wrong almost exclusively for 8 years about everything.

I couldn't wait for George W. Bush to leave office, but there is no comparison between Palin & him. I realize he probably got accepted at Ivy League schools because of his family name but, unless you think his degrees were bought & paid for, he graduated from Yale and then Harvard, where he got an MBA. He was also Governor of Texas, a state with a population of over 24.3 million. He served from Jan 1995- Dec 2000 and was inaugurated as POTUS in Jan 2001.

Palin, on the other hand, had trouble staying in school, attended 5 different colleges, and eventually graduated with a Degree in Journalism. I'm probably the only person who questions this is true. One college administrator said "We were not able to track down club affiliations or anything." Another said "We're trying to track down someone who knew her." Also, she never contributed to any college newspapers or worked on any committees, etc., according to the University of Idaho. She was mayor of a town which, at the time, had a population of about 6,000. (now it's 9,000) Some gated communities in Florida have a larger population. She was elected Governor of Alaska, a state with a total population of about 687,000. The City of Jacksonville has an estimated 800,000 people. Oh, Palin didn't even finish her first term. She left to write a book and tour the country. She had to leave early, because she was advised to learn how to read a book before writing one.
