Like some large corporations, I believe Acorn has enough "subsidiaries" (not sure what you call them for an ACORN type operation) to scatter like roaches and regroup and reorganize under other names. The good thing is their leaders are known now and monitored so it will be harder for them to do it undercover.

You've just perfectly described the rightwing smear merchants who stealthily work to discredit worthy organizations like ACORN. What a shame that some completely overhyped and manufactured "controversy" has also made Democrats throw ACORN under the bus.

Based on the inherent lack of knowledge of American voters its clear why so many politicians felt it the safe bet. Too bad they are so worried about reelection as to let the smear merchants score another political victory.
