Just what California needs a hippie from the 60's.

Sad to say, but this seems to be the case. Which is the lesser of two evils? Will support Meg, but not with any enthusiasm. Have a good memory, and another go around with that screwball Governor Moonbeam running things is not a pleasant prospect.

Chelene Nightingale--a much better choice and the one that I would make if I were still living in California.

Does it really matter who the governor of California is? Republicans & Democrats are no different once they become governor because the job is not based on ideology. People got excited with Schwarzenegger [I still like him] until he could not figure out what to do with California's problems but who can? Brown will probably win because the current Republican candidates hate each other [calling one another "liberals"]. It's all the same every election.

Except that Meg hates gays all of a sudden. That makes her appear to be more conservative in the Repugs' eyes.

Yeah, Brown made California look ridiculous by insisting he drive his old car around rather than use the state limosine.

Want a little frosting (?) on the cake? Controversial San Francisco mayor Gavin Newsom is announcing today that he is running for the number two spot in California, the lieutenant governorship. Now that is a real pair to draw to; Moonbeam and Gavin. A thread on the California forum has a link to a few more details.
