If Greene is the Democrat nominee it's 37% Crist and 36% Rubio.

The sampling error is +/-4.

Have the Dems held their primary yet?
thanks Laura, I think many of us were waiting for an updated poll, since the this post is over 3 months old and totally outdated.

Charlie Crist had better hope Jeff Greene pulls off a miraculous comeback in his primary against Kendrick Meek if the Republican-***-independent governor hopes to edge GOP nominee Marco Rubio in the general election Senate contest. Among likely voters, Rubio has a slim 37-36 lead over Crist if Greene is the Democratic nominee, but Rubio pulls ahead 40-32 if Meek wins tonight.
And Meek has jumped out to a large lead over Greene.

Update:

RealClearPolitics - 2010 Florida Senate Race

As one can see, Crist was predicted to win the Senate seat had Greene won the Democrat nomination. However if Meek won, and he did, the 5 poll average has Rubio winning the Senate seat. Meek overwhelmingly winning the Democrat primary has split the liberal vote in Florida and thus giving Rubio the edge

Crist's real problem is he has no home and will need a spilt vote of republicans and democrats. Much different than a primary really.

Although Fla is pretty Conservative, it's not really that right wing, certain areas, of course, but not all over.
I think the Democrats would be missing out if they don't pull out of this one. Rubio has a lot of problems with the state party on their immigration law.

The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Voters in Florida shows Marco Rubio attracting 40% of the vote, while Charlie Crist picks up 30% in the race to become the state’s next U.S. senator. The new Democratic nominee Kendrick Meek earns 21% support.
Looks like people are on to that treacherous snake, Crist.

Rasmussen tends to have had some very odd polls right after the Primary.

Before, after and during, according to you.

The meme is incredible.

Sorry, but Rasmussen is a top pollster, whether you like it or not.
