Yeah and at this point of Obama's Presidency, i'll go with any unknown challenger, if it means Obama is ousted out.

That would be a pipe dream for that 39% as that would not be enough to RE - elect. Just tooooo amusing.

The GOP just insulted a large portion of the country's population. Heck, they got Cubans and Mexicans to agree on a topic for a change. The Arizona legislation is going to really haunt the GOP in November. Wait and see.

Gallup Daily Tracking: Obama Job Approval

Approve-51%

Disapprove-42%

President Obama goes into Nov 2012 with those kind of numbers, he'll win reelection rather easily.

The majority of legal Cuban and Mexican U.S. citizens oppose illegal immigration. They are more insulted by the fact that while they obeyed the laws when entering this country, others broke the laws than they are of Arizona actually enforcing immigration laws.

Sure...get that from Faux News?

Lets take a look at some REAL numbers..

Quote:
A survey released Friday found that 85 percent of Hispanics in Arizona who are US citizens or legal residents believe they will be subject to police questioning under a controversial new immigration law.
-------
The firm that conducted the poll, Latino Decision, found that 81 percent of Hispanics in Arizona oppose the law, while other polls show it is supported by 70 percent of the state's population overall.
AFP: Arizona Hispanics fear greater police controls: poll

They polled 402 people. That isn't even a drop in the bucket when you consider how many Hispanic people live in the state. There are over 6.5 million people in the state and 30% of those are Hispanic...nearly 1/3. How about they ask a couple hundred thousand? I distrust polls and never believe them to be all that reliable. I also believe that because of the fear of profiling law enforcement will lean over backward to NOT do it. Why would they be fool enough to deliberately invite lawsuits?

Kind of like how in 1994, the legal Hispanics of California were so supportive of Prop 187, they turned a purple-leaning-red state into a solid blue state, right?
