Guys, believe it or not Alabama honestly really is full of backwards bible thumping simpletons. Been here for decades, surrounded by idiots. The ONLY way to get elected in this state is to pander to the Jesus Freak crowd because they make up such a MASSIVE percentage of the population in this state.
Boy, if'n you aint believin' ev'ry word of tha bible true, maybe you need ta git yerself on outta muh state and hightail it back to FRANCE!
Not ALL Alabamians are backward bible thumping simpletons - maybe you should change who you surround yourself with - try finding the 847,000 or so folks in your state of Alabama who are not or move to New England - no need to go to France

Actually one poster more wide and creative than I quipped that the Theory of Gravity was being superseded by the Theory of Intelligent Falling.
Before Newton introduced gravity into what we now call physics. We lived in a world with out gravity but we know the moon sun and stars even Heaven itself rested in nested rotating crystal spheres that were created by God. The Earth was the center of the universe and held us in place by Divine Attraction. Lots of little invisible angels helped pull us back to Earth's surface.
It's scary alright. We have a movement that dismisses science altogether and is adamant about keeping us in the 14th century.
And EVERY one votes republican.
