Of course him lying about this was horrible, however Blumenthal has long been the most popular figure in the state who has had approvals in the 70's and 80's. he won his last election by 50 points. When it comes down to it its about this.

A choice between a highly regarded public official who has served the public for more than 20 years, or someone with no experience whatsoever who is a former Wrestling Executive, married to the CEO of the WWE and is trying to pull a Bloomberg and buy the Election. That is basically what this is a choice between.
