I watched a wonderful tribute video my son made for my mom who is now deceased. It fills me with happy memories but also brings tears to my eyes (people I love so much that are now gone). I probably watch it a couple times a year.
She was born in 1936 and I think it's so cool that we have footage of when she was born all the way to videos of her as a wonderful, intelligent, perky, and fun 80 something. My son converted lots of different media to digital. For me it's a masterpiece. It's about 18 minutes long. I like the way DS for parts that are silent movies / photos, added a popular song from the decade the movies / photos are from that seemed appropriate.
The work that went into this was incredible. I'm still in shock. Because you always see these beautiful old couples in photographs and you see the video interviews of them now talking about their lives. But she was actually videotaped from baby to marriage - which blows my mind because cameras then were incredibly expensive and in the 30s generally only the wealthy had home movies. And you can see her grandparents all dotting on her. It's extremely rare to have this videotaped. Your son did absolutely fantastic and he should really consider condensing the video into a TikTok. They would go crazy over this. Diane was like a star the world never knew.

Thank you for the kind words! I showed your comments to my son and it made his day.
